Terms of Service

Last updated: July 4, 2026

Draft pending legal review. These terms are written to be read by humans; where they're silent, we'll act reasonably and tell you what we're doing.

1. The service

Paddington.io ("we", "us") provides managed hosting on the kilter sovereign cloud platform. The self-serve plan — k8gentic Engineering — is $100 USD per month per organization and includes the application allocations described on the pricing page. Agentic Business Operations plans are governed by a separate written agreement.

2. Trials and the wait list

  • Trials run 7 days, require no payment card, and convert to a paid plan only with your explicit consent. If you don't continue, your trial environment is wound down.
  • We provision a limited number of signups per week. We target delivering portal credentials within 48 hours of signup; if weekly capacity is full, your signup joins a temporary wait list and we'll tell you where you stand.

3. Billing

  • The platform fee is flat and billed monthly.
  • Usage above your included allocations is billed at our measured cost plus 35%. The binding rate card is published in your portal before anything is billed at those rates.
  • Kilter Business Portal seats are billed per active user per month at the rate shown on the pricing page.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice; never retroactively.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the platform to break the law, attack other systems, mine cryptocurrency, send spam, or host content you don't have the right to host. Agentic workloads are welcome — including autonomous ones — but you remain responsible for what your agents do. We may suspend workloads that endanger the platform or other tenants, and we'll notify you when we do.

5. Early access & availability

The platform is in early access. We work hard to keep it up, but we do not yet offer a formal SLA on self-serve plans. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical.

6. Your data, your exit

Your applications, code, and data are yours. Kilter is open source, and everything we provision for you is standard Kubernetes and standard open-source services — you can export your data, eject your manifests, self-host kilter, or migrate to another Miniscaler at any time. We will never hold your workloads hostage to keep your business.

7. Termination

You can cancel any time, effective at the end of the billing period — no cancellation flow gymnastics required. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice except where the violation endangers the platform. On termination we provide a reasonable window to export your data.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability under these terms is capped at the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it.
